Salem First United Methodist Church is a historic edifice that is a ideal for a wedding, and a winter wedding at that! Tyler and Gabrielle were tucked away in the recesses of the church awaiting the moment when they would soon become man and wife. Friends and family bustled about, finalizing last minute details, scuttling through the snow and laughing as the cityscape became enveloped in a blanket of snow.
Gabrielle, as always, didn’t let the stress of the day disturb her calm demeanor. This bride was ready to be Mrs. Campbell. Looping the last of her buttons, Mom, sister and Gramma hugged her and gave Dad the stage as they prepared to walk down the aisle.
As the crowd turned expectantly, the grand doors opened and Gabrielle, arm on dad, walked down the aisle. Some, like me, sneaked a peek at Tyler’s face, always curious to see the groom’s first reaction. 😉 The ceremony culminated in a special Salem First United Methodist Church Wedding tradition- the ringing of the bell. 5 times (and one for good measure) and they were official.
Tyler and Gabrielle, thank you for the privilege of being included on this most-special of days. Every wedding is such a precious reminder of who we are in Christ and the wedding feast we have to look forward to. Thank you for being such a shining example and loving each other so beautifully.
