With a name like Crag Rat Hut I bet you’re not expecting stunning vistas, beautiful trees and Mt Hood in all it’s glory. Ha, well neither was I, but never have I been more happy to be mistaken. The rainy week broke on Saturday the 22nd with streaming sunlike and that perfect Fall weather that every northwest native looks forward to.
Nestled in the heights of Hood River lies this ancient museum, still a hall-mark to the former mountain rescue teams that used it as a base. When Alex and Olivia first visited the space they were immediately taken with the scintillating view of Mt Hood in the distance. And so it was, that a few short months later, surrounded by dear family and friends, they made their vows to be husband and wife with that majestic rock behind them.
It was truly an honor to be a part of this very special celebration; not only is the entire Orth family beloved friends to the Taylor clan, but many of the guests are dear friends and family as well. And so I play the fine line between friend and photographer and hopefully compromise neither.
Cheers to a very happy couple. Their love, delight, and commitment to each other is evident in every photo. I’m just glad it was me who got to see it first-hand.
