Andrew + Julie: Forrestry Center Engagement

She was the perfect height to rest his chin on. The perfect height to kiss the top of her head. The Perfect height to wrap in his arms. The perfect height to be his wife.
When they met at Multnomah University, neither dreamed they would fall for the other. Isn’t that how love is sometimes? The person we least suspect, we find, is the one we can’t live without. Andrew (aka Zellers for those in the know) and Julie are filled with joy and anticipation for their upcoming June wedding.  For many months past they have lived in separate states, struggling through separation and the anxiety that brings. Now, to finally be united is pure happiness. The Best things in life often cost you everything, but give you more than you could ever hope for.

Because they have spent so much time in various forms of transportation, we played that theme throughout their shoot. We started the engagement session in my NY style studio; natural light streaming through the windows and back lighting the happy twosome, wrapped in each others arms. Taking the max, we headed to the forestry center and the ancient train nestled under it’s roof. The shoot climaxed with a finale in the under-grown max station.

Every couple has a unique story and different things they love to do together; I encourage my brides to bring along anything that tells their story, any props or mementos. Andrew and Julie love cooking together and playing Bananagrams. Yes, they were the first to introduce me to these yellow pockets of goodness, and rumor has it that Julie’s mad skills are bar none. We were quite the happy quintet.

Thank you Julie and Andrew for your devotion to each other, for seeing your relationship through every obstacle and for trusting me to capture these moments forever. Your love and joy are fantastically contagious. In a funny way, it makes me fall in love with my own Husby all over again.  🙂

Zellers, When Julie looks up at you, it reminds me of a question I once asked one of my grooms, “Do you ever get nervous when she looks up at you like that? So completely trusting?”

“No” he answered, “I feel amazing, like this is what I was made to do.”

So true that is. My warmest congratulations to you both and we’ll see each other soon!

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! Her baby is the cutest most joyful girl just like her momma! 💕There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
