Chateau De Michellia is a castle wedding venue tucked in the hills just outside Salem, Oregon. The whole environment is completely serene, and feels like a French Villa. My time there was a breathe of fresh air and an inspiring afternoon filled with sunshine and sweet breezes. My favorite part was working alongside the team of vendors. The hair and makeup crew was outstanding, and worked quickly to get everyone looking their best. My goal is always to give my images that glamorous, intimate feel, and today was no exception.

Here’s a few of my favorite images from the day, these were shot on digital and medium format film, and went from harsh sunlight to full golden hour lighting.

These beautiful invitation details were designed by Sofyia of Creative By Sofiya and I loved the Calligraphy escort cards. These wedding details are so fun to photograph and really capture the style and feel of the wedding day.

The Chateau De michellia has the most beautiful grounds, the statuary work is some of my favorite! Florals by Darling Dahlia Floral, (Charlotte is such a hard worker and truly wants to serve her clients with excellence, highly recommend).
I wanted to use this opportunity to experiment with some photo techniques, specifically how to use motion blur effectively. It’s actually difficult to master without it being overdone. How did I do?
