Dear Christa,    When you’re talking with your brides, how do you make sure you have enough time for photos? Do you use their timeline or create your own and run it by them? I keep getting really confused communicating before the wedding on what happens when! Please help!  Sincerely, Running out of time  Dear […]

How To Create A Wedding Photo Timeline

For years I struggled with how to capture moving subject in low light. It’s like a recipe for disaster. There I was, flash bouncing off who-knows-what, my mangled camera strap getting in my eyes and sweat pouring out of my hands like I was in the mojavi desert. Not good. It was time to do […]

How to Shoot a First Dance

The excitement was mounting as Kelly arrived that morning, her smile radiating anticipation at seeing her groom. Mom and sisters gathered round and helped her into her dress as Travis waited outside. Oaks Park Dance Pavilion was such a vibrant location, the amusement rides and shouts of happy park visitors filled the air as a […]

Portland Waterfront Engagement: Aaron + Whitney

Everyone has been given different gifts. Aside from being gorgeous, Kristin and Katy have a very special gift. They sing. Their sister voices are a perfect match showcasing beautiful harmonies and incredible power, I’m seriously tempted to be jealous. I was so privileged to be able to capture this beautiful duo in studio. Yes, […]

When you see your own brother getting married it’s like doing a double take, “hold on, aren’t you like seven years old?”  Apparently not. 😉 My little brother is all done growed up and gettin’ married! Maybe it finally sank in when Sam looked at Gracie with that, “only you forever” in his eyes; or […]

Moscow Idaho Wedding: Sam + Gracie

Eric and Cassandra’s love story culminated on an idealic June afternoon surrounded by the wide fields and lush greenery of Postlewait Farms. For their first look, instead of opting to see each other prior to the ceremony, Cassandra  and Eric used blindfolds to keep it a “surprise” while still having that moment to hold each […]

These principles apply to all, and have been gleaned from my own father (who passed down the secret to gaining wealth) and the pages of many wise authors. Whether you’re a college student just getting off the ground or a seasoned veteran in your field, these principles will change your view on wealth and how […]

How To Build Wealth As A Small Business

It was one of Portland gorgeous overcast days, soft light filtered through the trees as we made our way into the green recesses of Camp Colton. Overshadowed by giant Fir and Cedar trees, Kendi and Derek vowed their life and love on May 10 surrounded by much beloved family and friends. You can see Kendi’s […]

Camp Colton Wedding: Kendi + Derek

Sometimes happiness is in little pockets of life. 1 hour of sunshine on Mt Tabor surrounded by loved ones that have little chubby fingers and toes. When, as a photographer, I somehow get to be included in this happy moment, I feel supremely lucky. Happiness is contagious, but I bet you knew that already. Hanging […]

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! Her baby is the cutest most joyful girl just like her momma! 💕There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
