Love Collision: Dan & Christa

While I don’t typically do a lot of maternity shoots, I have been shooting a few lately for friends who are repeat clients. I mean, hey, I’d do anything for them anyways ;P Heather Hellweg and I have shared a mutual love for fashion which made this baby shoot a breeze. I love her lines, […]

They were in a vortex of happiness and love. Every jot and tittle had been planned and these two were PLANNERS. Planners to perfection. Perfection it was. Nothing could keep the smile off Kristi’s face, she giggled and laughed like a school girl with the beauty of a goddess. Her warmth and delight in her […]

Portland Treasury Wedding: David & Kristi

Some will say the head is sacred. Never cut into the top of the head. I disagree. I think a good head shot is not about how much of the forehead is in or out- rather its whether you can capture the personality or not. A fellow photographer and dear friend calls it how “honest” […]

How to Shoot Headshots

So For the past year I have printed my wedding photo-books through Blurb. To all those newbies out there- learn from my mistakes. Do not use a photo book company to print your wedding albums. It just looks…cheap. So yea. It is time to put my big-girl panties on and move to a full-fledged, lay-flat, […]

How to Choose an Album- or not.

There’s so many goals written for people in the month of January. Pens are out, lists are stuck to the bulletin board and gym memberships sky-rocket in popularity. This year, I don’t want any crazy goals to give my rear some umph in January only to be discarded by Feb 1st. Here’s 5 things I […]

How to be Fabulous: Thoughts for 2012

Everything we send to our clients, every extension of our business should reflect our brand. From the emails we send to the stamps we use. After a few years of using a boring old word doc, I have upgraded to a lovely menu style collection description. This little beauty is sent to the bride after […]

I feel like that girl running through the door. She’s not walking, she’s not skipping, no caution here. She takes the future at an all-out run. There’s something haunting about this image. I want to use this as a springboard for a fashion shoot- I have the door, now all I need is the […]

She had a crush on him for a while, but then he fell for her. And fell HARD. Not only is Caitlin beautiful, she is GOOD. That pure, gentle kind of goodness that makes everyone love her, including her family, friends, physical therapy clients and one lucky groom. 😉 Jeremy and Caitlin, seeing and photographing […]

Trinidad, CA Wedding: Jeremy and Caitlin

Elaini Garfield, longest, oldest, dearest friend of mine launched an amazing project early this year. Now in it’s final stages we are heading towards the finish line and those final 10Gs. $50,000 for orphans. That’s a heck of a lot of money, but she’s so close. This fashion shoot was to raise $1,000 for the […]

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Long before I was engaged, I knew I wanted Christa Taylor Photography to capture the special moments of my wedding. She more than met our expectations, and seldom a month goes by without somebody telling us how gorgeous our wedding pictures turned out!
Working with Christa is like finding some awesome girlfriend who completely gets you and can show you the beauty in whatever project you're undertaking. I recommend her to every bride I work with! Thank you, Christa, for your incredible work!

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
