If you’ve ever dreamed of being married in Europe, this is your dream wedding venue. Expansive grounds, gorgeous indoor staircase, moody lighting, it’s an editorial photographers dream. The Chateau De lis is nestled in the rolling hills of Oregon City, Oregon. Just outside Portland, it’s easily accessible and has suites available on site for guests over the weekend. My favorite feature is the gazebo by the front lake, it’s romantic, catches golden hour light and just paints that European wedding aesthetic, that we’re all dying for.
Style Me Pretty will be featuring these photos soon, so stay tuned as we get these beauties published!

Chateau de Lis: Luxury Wedding Venue in the Heart of Oregon
I’m all about the details, and these luxury wedding details did not disappoint. From Manolo Blahnik, to Ferragamo cuff links, I know my luxury brands and LOVE highlighting the work of the masters.
The invitation suite was designed by watercolor artist and invitation designer The Scribblist. The vellum was my favorite texture but the floral envelope insert is pretty darn gorgeous.

Bridal Portraits at Chateau De Lis in Oregon City Oregon
Claire La Faye designed the tulle gown and Stephani Mai designed the puffed sleeve gown, I love both for different reasons. In preparation for this wedding, I hand painted this French blue backdrop to highlight the brides color palette and provide another clean surface for these gorgeous editorial photos.
The bridal suite at Chateau de Lis is also known as the cottage suite, and I love the light pouring in through those windows! My gosh, just give me my film camera and let me loose! ;P

Glamorous Spring wedding at Chateau De Lis
Trellis Floral outdid herself with this tables cape, and Zilla Events was our mastermind on design. Blaire, from Trellis, went to GREAT lengths to acquire the smilax needed to festoon the chandeliers. It came in by express delivery (direct from the airport) 20 minutes before the event. I was so proud of her and thankful for her expertise in bringing it together, it was masterfully done and a true wedding showcase.

Bride and Groom Portraits at Chateau De Lis
It was such an adventure playing with the fog machine for the first dance photos, I had a vision of what it would look like and it was “all hands on deck” to get that to come together. But when you have a fantastic team, it’s pretty incredible what you can accomplish. So proud of my assistant, Anita and the rest of the team who all serve their clients with such excellence.

By the end of the day, it was with fondness that we tossed our final confettis and wished these sweet couple many blessings! As Portland wedding photographer, I love these venues that are tucked away, off the beaten path but also so accessible to guests.
