I had walked to the coffee shop for our meeting and somehow left my wallet at home. (Justin, I still owe you a White Chocolate mocha). Sweet couple that they are, they didn’t seem to mind. We sat down, water in hand and this is what I heard…
They had met at the end of highschool, he was a country feller, had been around cattle from a young boy growing up around his Grandpa’s ranch. His long arms draped across the back of his chair as Amanda talked, and I could picture him perfectly at ease leaning on a coral fence. She was born and raised in Portland and the only thing she knew about country living was that she looked smoking hot in cowboy boots. Her eyes sparkle as she looks at Justin, and she continues the story.
He was shy in middle school and used to get teased for his dimples, those very dimples that Amanda fell in love with just a few years later. He gained confidence in high school and they became good friends. He asked her out and soon they were inseparable. Now in their 20s, Justin decided it was time to ask her to be at his side forever. She said yes.
July 2013 they will be man and wife.
Justin and Amanda, I had such a great time with you- maneuvering through crowds of people (yay for hippie concerts at Edgefield ;P) driving through potholes and wrangling parking garages. Justin keep rocking the manly dimples and I’ll see you guys sooner than we realize!
At this point, I was attacked by a cactus, but since they looked great, it all worked out 🙂
loveliness.
