I love fashion. After working in the industry for 5 years, the delightful damage is irretrievable. I will always be a sucker with expensive taste. (Don’t worry, I have not yet plunged solid cash into a closet full of Jimmy Choo’s)
Fashion taught me a lot about posing couples. Creating the story, capturing the “right before” or “right after” moments. Moving couples into a position where the camera is set to freeze those stories in motion.
I wanted this shot at the train station to have some action or motion to it.
What I told Andy:
“Give her your jacket, as if she’s cold, and kinda settle it around her. Then give her a kiss to say ‘ I’m here, I’ll protect you’ ”
The moment didn’t just happen. You have to create it. Photos don’t just happen. You make them.
1. Visualize your stories ahead of time.
2. Think of ways to describe the story to your client so they can grasp and apply.
