Here’s a few generalizations that I have found to be true:  -Most photographers struggle with the business aspects of their company -Every photographer would love more of their “ideal” clients. -Photographers aren’t really sure how to market themselves other than bridal shows -New photographers think that you have to have a studio and a ginormous […]

Marketing Tips: How to Create a Gift Voucher

She was the perfect height to rest his chin on. The perfect height to kiss the top of her head. The Perfect height to wrap in his arms. The perfect height to be his wife. When they met at Multnomah University, neither dreamed they would fall for the other. Isn’t that how love is sometimes? The […]

Andrew + Julie: Forrestry Center Engagement

It all started with Michelle’s Dad. He just happened to be one of those rare chaps who takes a yacht and sails it around the world. Just for kicks. That being part of her back story, I had to do a shoot with her and her husband centered around a posh nautical theme… I met […]

When it comes to Bowling, Husby and Wifey couldn’t be more opposite. The Bowling connoisseur and rules master is on the left. The absolute bomb, never over 20 points, sits on the right. As much as Husby tries to convince Wifey to play the game, she stands resolute and refuses to lift the 3 holed […]

Adventures of Husby and Wifey: Bowling Bomb

In 2 days time, I’m heading to Vegas for the annual Photographers convention. 14,000 photographers will converge on spot. The thought of that many camera people and camera jargon is enough to terrify anyone… However, contrary to what one might suppose, I am not fearful of the oncoming torrent of camera info and technique. There […]

These shots are just a must share…they have such a different feel than color. It’s that timeless vogue glamor. I can’t get enough of it!

My Love Affair with Black N White

I wasn’t sure what to call this shoot…it’s a bit edgy, but still beautiful. Kinda grunge but not over-the-top. It’s just unusual…but putting that in a title is 100% boring. I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves. Thank you the team at 220 Salon, Jodi Steagall (hair and concept design) Sam (makeup) Irisa (modeling) […]

We mused over a cocktail in the dusk of a Tuesday afternoon, imagining what a “bad ass bride” would look like. Beautiful but raw. Unusual. Jodi, owner of Salon 220 and stylist extraordinaire brought her expertise to bear and the vision became a reality. Here is a sneak peak of the final product…many more to […]

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Long before I was engaged, I knew I wanted Christa Taylor Photography to capture the special moments of my wedding. She more than met our expectations, and seldom a month goes by without somebody telling us how gorgeous our wedding pictures turned out!
Working with Christa is like finding some awesome girlfriend who completely gets you and can show you the beauty in whatever project you're undertaking. I recommend her to every bride I work with! Thank you, Christa, for your incredible work!

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! Her baby is the cutest most joyful girl just like her momma! 💕There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
