VOGUE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

THE
JOURNAL

I love the chemistry between a man and a woman. The romance, the energy, the intimacy-- and when, at their best, they really do pull out greatness in the other.
I have experienced many subjects and genres of photography  over the years, but wedding photography always draws me back. The sheer intensity, the 'once in a lifetime' nature of it, and so much diversity in one day. From details (still life), family portraits, documentary photography, food, fashion photography-- Weddings have it all. I believe Simon Sinek said it best:
"Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion".

Dec 12th dawned a crisp and beautifully clear day. All the umbrellas went un-needed in my trunk and it was SO refreshing to finish off 2020 with such lovely weather and lovely human beings! It was a special honor to photograph this event as I’ve known the families involved for many years and could celebrate […]

Oregon City Wedding: Stephen & Lisa

What an honor to be witness to this very intimate “life-streamed” wedding. When WWII was engulfing Europe in chaos, young couples didn’t give up on love or marriage— they gave up some of their expectations and focused on what truly mattered. And while we are not currently living in a world war (thank God) we […]

Oregon Coast GearHeart Elopement: Taylor & Laura

Love surmounts every obstacle. And aren’t we glad it does? Covid, Riots and Economic downturns can’t stop it, it only makes it more clear what we truly value. It was such an honor to be a part of this wedding, Lauren and Matt (with one t or two? We’ll never know ;P) are best friends […]

Intimate Vancouver Wedding: Mr & Mrs Redberg

Ashley lived with us for a while so it was such a sweet privilege to capture her wedding. Oaks Pioneer Church is nestled in the hillside near Oaks Park, and even in the rain stands as a quintessential wedding chapel. Clearly a few raindrops couldn’t stop this intimate wedding celebration, as Ashley and Amadeus vowed […]

Oaks Pioneer Church Wedding: Ashley & Amadeus

This beautiful, humble and incredibly kind couple was a wonderful way to finish off 2018. I was so honored to be present, to witness the tremendous amount of support Kristian and Noelle received. Family and close friends from all over the globe gathered to lavish the newlyweds with affection and generosity, a mark of how […]

Zenith Vineyard is nestled in rolling wine country just outside Salem, Oregon and was the green oasis where Kelli and Logan celebrated their wedding vows surrounded by family and friends. Kelli and Logan were remarkably easy going, and game for anything as we explored the grounds during their golden hour portraits. It was clear they […]

Zenith Vineyard Wedding: Kelli + Logan

It was a perfect day to get married at Langdon farms, not a cloud in the sky and that’s saying something for June in the Northwest 😉 It was just the perfect day. Derek and Erika are some of the most other-focused people you could meet. They genuinely seek to care for and serve those […]

Langdon Farms Wedding: Derek + Erika

Jenkins Estate is a 68 acre property once belonging to an elite Portland couple and now is open year round for guests to visit as part of Tualatin Parks and Rec. This particular engagement session was really inspiring for me as Olivia wanted something more fashion-forward and I love when brides give me free-reign to […]

Just outside Sacramento is this gem of a wedding venue, The Flower Farm, aptly named as it was abloom with a working orchard and surrounding gardens. It was the perfect spot for this “farm to table” inspired wedding, complete with a custom menu featuring produce from the very same property. (Yeah, it was so good- […]

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Long before I was engaged, I knew I wanted Christa Taylor Photography to capture the special moments of my wedding. She more than met our expectations, and seldom a month goes by without somebody telling us how gorgeous our wedding pictures turned out!
Working with Christa is like finding some awesome girlfriend who completely gets you and can show you the beauty in whatever project you're undertaking. I recommend her to every bride I work with! Thank you, Christa, for your incredible work!

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! Her baby is the cutest most joyful girl just like her momma! 💕There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
