VOGUE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

THE
JOURNAL

I love the chemistry between a man and a woman. The romance, the energy, the intimacy-- and when, at their best, they really do pull out greatness in the other.
I have experienced many subjects and genres of photography  over the years, but wedding photography always draws me back. The sheer intensity, the 'once in a lifetime' nature of it, and so much diversity in one day. From details (still life), family portraits, documentary photography, food, fashion photography-- Weddings have it all. I believe Simon Sinek said it best:
"Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion".

This wedding blew my mind. It was what every photographer dreams of. A fantastic couple with supremely good taste and a thoughtful well organized team. It was the best of the best coming together to celebrate and capture a very special love story. Linda and Sean are very different, but simultaneously a beautiful compliment to […]

Resort at the Mountain Wedding: Sean + Linda

This Sauvie Island engagement was so relaxing. I met Laurel at our booth during the Luxe Bridal event and just fell in love with her. She has such a sweet spirit, it’s obvious that Jay has won the heart of one truly beautiful woman. Late in the afternoon we met up to shoot in the softer […]

One thing I know for sure, to put together a publish worthy shoot- a good team is indispensable. It’s always such a privilege to be asked to join some of the best of Portland’s vendors and create a work of visual art.    The hard work paid off as Style Me Pretty honored us with a […]

Style Me Pretty Feature: Farm to Table Wedding

Resort at the Mountain is a lovely venue for weddings, the impeccable landscape, gently rolling greens and sunset vista is exactly what any photographer hopes for.   Sean and Linda’s wedding at Resort at the Mountain was full of light, love and laughter. Peach and Blue hued tablescapes festooned the reception tent as guests clustered around […]

Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast Wedding: Sneak Peak

One of my favorite weddings to date because Andrew and Katrina are two of the most genuinely beautiful people I have ever encountered. Their love for each other, heart to serve, and delight in God’s goodness was clearly portrayed throughout their wedding day.    To cap it all off we enjoyed the evening light right at the […]

Portland Senior photos are probably one of the most effortlessly enjoyable subjects to capture. This is Rhalina, with a vibrant personality and keen sense of humor to match her beautiful smile. Gotta love me some contrasts, and Rhalina is just that. When not donning her lacy heels, she’s killing it on the soccer field and […]

This is one of my favorite engagement to date, the film, the colors- the couple! It was a perfect day at the Beach even though we were surounded by thousands of Spring Break vacationers. With a little creativity it worked beautifully.   Many thanks to Caprice Hammon Styling for the beautiful hair/makeup on Marissa.    Fuji […]

Sometimes you get this idea in your head and can’t rest till it comes to fruition. Such was my experience with the beauty that is Oneonta Gorge. Situated in the recesses of the Oregon gorge, it’s photo magic waiting to happen.    As my friends know, I’m not much of a writer, but I just had […]

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Long before I was engaged, I knew I wanted Christa Taylor Photography to capture the special moments of my wedding. She more than met our expectations, and seldom a month goes by without somebody telling us how gorgeous our wedding pictures turned out!
Working with Christa is like finding some awesome girlfriend who completely gets you and can show you the beauty in whatever project you're undertaking. I recommend her to every bride I work with! Thank you, Christa, for your incredible work!

Christa is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husband and I are beyond blessed to have had her capture our day! She was so great at directing people kindly and having fun too! She's a blast and we enjoyed the day more because of her! We loved getting to know her and she even had us to her home the week after our wedding for a brief photo shoot since the weather had been bad on the wedding day...she really went above and WAY beyond the call of a photographer and became our friend! She's the type we'd schedule a photo shoot with simply to see her and catch up!! Her baby is the cutest most joyful girl just like her momma! 💕There are not words to reccomend Christa highly enough! 💕We love you Christa!!
